In Loving Memory
John Marvin Young, 82, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Born August 26, 1941, in Dover, Arkansas, he was the son of William and Emma Young.
John lived a life defined by hard work and dedication. Over the years he served as a blacksmith, backhoe operator, and heavy equipment mechanic, and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church.
In his quieter moments, John could be found out on a walk, casting a line, watching a good western, or gathered around the table for a game of dominoes or board games. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Young; his brothers, William Louis Young and Glenn Edward Young; and his sister, Brenda Sue Riley.
John is lovingly survived by his wife, Sue Young; his sons, Scott Young (Michele) of Herron Island, Washington, and Brian Young (Jennifer) of Greenwood, Arkansas; his sisters, Wanda Jean Dauksch of Nampa, Idaho, and Judy Anne Millican of Greenwood, Arkansas; nine grandchildren — Aaron Young, Connor Young, Quenton Young, Felicia Dewitt, Madison Hutchinson, Dylan Collier, Kaitlyn Fulghum, Willis Collier, and Max Ruffaner; eight great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of cherished family and friends.
